Based in Denver, Colorado, MegaStar Financial believe in giving back to the community in which we live and work. We are honored to help the youth in our area through various initiatives, provide a generous employee match program for charitable giving, and empower the next generation of loan officers through our innovative Hour of Power program. A few of MegaStar’s philanthropic endeavors include the Colorado I Have A Dream Foundation, Mi Casa, Family Star, Volunteers of America and others.

Company initiatives include MegaStar’s Presidents Club, an annual recognition of sales and operational excellence. Members receive award incentives for quality work and production.

MegaStar currently has or has had a board member assigned to the Governor appointed Colorado Housing Finance Authority and the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies Lenders Task Force. We have been awarded an A+ by the Better Business Bureau and have received a BBB Gold Star Award.


ANITA PADILLA-FITZGERALD MegaStar Financial Corp. (MFC) Founder/President/CEO

  • MFC was founded in 1999 with the principle of “Integrity and Accountability”. MFC is a HUD approved retail mortgage banker doing business in 25 states and employs 202 full-time staff.
  • MegaStar Financial was recently highlighted as a strong accountable lender by FOX National Business News and the Denver Post. MFC was rewarded a Gold Star Award from the Better Business Bureau in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013.
  • In 2009 The Latina Chamber in conjunction with the United States Hispanic Chamber and State Farm presented Mrs. Padilla-Fitzgerald with The National Latina Trail Blazer Award for Business.  
  • Mrs. Padilla-Fitzgerald served two consecutive terms for the State of Colorado “Rules Committee Task Force.” In 2009, she was appointed by the Colorado Governor to serve on the Colorado Housing Finance Authority Board of Directors.
  • In 2010 Mrs. Padilla-Fitzgerald was nominated and won the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Financial Service for the Rocky Mountain Region.   The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for Denver awarded Mrs. Padilla-Fitzgerald the Hispanic Business Woman of the Year for 2010
  • Prior to MFC, Mrs. Padilla-Fitzgerald was President/CEO of First City Financial Corp. (FCFC), a Denver-based lender, from 1996 to1999 and was one of 10 original employees of Denver-based Cherry Creek Mortgage Company (CCMC) from 1988 to 1996.


SCOTT PIEPER EVP - Chief Operating Officer - Megastar Holdings

Mr. Pieper is responsible for corporate and strategic management for MegaStar Holdings, which oversees all of the MegaStar companies. He manages the capital and treasury needs of MegaStar Financial Corp., Take Three Technologies, MegaStar Holding Services. Additionally, he provides strategic analysis to MegaStar’s President & CEO.

Mr. Pieper was one of the initial employees of the company in April 2000 and has been intimately involved in the development of many of the systems and procedures used by the company today.

Prior to joining MegaStar, Mr. Pieper was with Wells Fargo Bank in Commercial Banking and Asset Based Finance for 12 years.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and graduated with honors from the University of Denver.

Meet the Rest of the Team


NOEL MCGARVEY - Senior Vice President, National Operations

Noel brings 25 years of experience in mortgage banking. He has held senior management roles in originations, operations, credit risk and quality control. He worked at PHH Mortgage during a time of 85% organizational growth while managing 1,500 closings per month. In his time at Pulte Mortgage, he ran operations with a peak volume of 12,000 loans for $2.2 billion of production. He managed credit risk and underwriting from 2007 - 2011. In his quality control role, he was instrumental in driving consistency and process improvement.

As SVP of National Operations, Noel is responsible for Sales Operations, Processing, Underwriting, Closing and Post Closing for MegaStar.

When not at work, Noel Enjoys many of the activites that Colorado has to offer with hiking and snowshoeing as some of his favorites.

MICHAEL DELVECCHIO - Senior Vice President of National Production

In this role, Michael is responsible for sales leadership, recruiting and overall coaching of the organization's national sales team. DelVecchio comes to MegaStar Financial with over 25 years' experience in loan originations and an extensive background in structuring home loans and sales leadership, having grown nationwide loan production from zero to $1 Billion in 7 years.

RHONDA FITZPATRICK - Vice President, Loan Technology


Rhonda joined MegaStar Financial in 2001.  In her 17 year tenure, Rhonda gained experience in many aspects of loan production including origination, processing, underwriting, closing, funding, and post-closing.  After moving to a management role, she managed our set-up, disclosure, appraisal desk, underwriting desk, and funding departments. In her current role in loan technology, Rhonda is responsible to manage the technology we use to complete the loan process.  She provides training to users on our technology.  She also works with technology vendors, developers and users to ensure our technology meets the needs of our ever changing industry.

KRIS SPUCKES - Vice President of Sales Operations

Kris has 15 years of mortgage industry experience, and has worked in all facets of loan production. He began his carrier in the mortgage industry as a Loan Originator in Irvine CA. After a couple of years in the business, Kris moved to Henderson Nevada, where he ran a small broker operation from 2004-2010. In 2010 Kris started with Megastar Financial on the operations side as a Loan Specialist and Closer. In 2014 Kris moved into corporate management. Currently as our VP of Sales Operations, Kris provides support to our sales team on many levels, including hosting a twice daily deal structure call, managing the early disclosure desk, and providing training to our branches on new products, procedures, and systems. Away from the office, Kris enjoys golf, snow skiing, live music and watching his favorite sports teams. Kris graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1997 with a BA in History.

ANDY MARSH - Vice President, Credit Risk Officer 

Andy has over 17 years of mortgage banking experience and has spent the last 11 of those years at MegaStar. Andy’s experience runs the gamut from starting out doing data entry, to processing, shipping, closing, originating, underwriting and management. In Andy’s current role he is responsible for overseeing the underwriting and appraisal departments. When not at the office you can find Andy on either his Harley Davidson motorcycle or on the golf course.

MICHAEL DASE - Assistant Vice President, IT Network Manager - Megastar Holdings

Michael is responsible for corporate Information Technology and Network Operation for MegaStar Holdings, which includes administration and support of systems, software, and networks for all MegaStar companies. Michael has 20 years of combined IT experience.  He joined Megastar in 2012 and prior to that worked in Network and POS operations/management for the theme park industry for 10 years. He holds a Degree in Computer Information Technology from College of Southern Nevada.  Away from work he enjoys spending quality family time, tinkering on automobiles, and feeding his love for all things Disney 

LORI SHAW - General Counsel - MegaStar Holdings


Ms. Shaw is responsible for managing the legal department and advising MegaStar’s President and CEO on various legal issues for the MegaStar companies.

Ms. Shaw has been with MegaStar for just over seven months. Prior to joining MegaStar, Ms. Shaw attended Indiana University, where she received her B.A. in History and Political Science and then went on to law school at Marquette University Law School where she focused on Intellectual Property and Sports Law. After law school, Ms. Shaw worked for a real estate and sports attorney in Milwaukee, focusing on various aspects of intellectual property, real estate, and sports stadium/arena construction, redevelopment, and acquisition. Ms. Shaw is licensed to practice in Wisconsin and Colorado.

In her free time, Ms. Shaw enjoys watching sports, playing card games, traveling, and drinking a nice margarita.
